2024 Track and Field Season

City of Vacaville Registration Fee: $325.00

Solano Thunderhawk Registration Fee: $25.00

Registration Cap: 45 participants

Season Start Date: Monday, March 4, 2024

Season End Date: Sunday, June 16, 2024

Join the Solano Thunderhawks for the upcoming 2024 track and field season! The Thunderhawks are a youth running club for boys and girls ages 7 to 17 specializing in distance running. Participants will learn the fundamentals of track and field with a particular focus on the following running events: 400m, 800m, 1500m, and 3000m. Participants will receive coaching on running form, race strategy, nutrition, strength and conditioning, and the rules of track and field. Participants will have the opportunity to compete in local track and field meets and other public running events, including the U.S.A. Track and Field Association (USATF) Regional Championship. Team is open to both novice and experienced runners. New participants will be expected to run the equivalent of 2 to 2.5 miles during practices during the first couple of weeks with adequate recovery breaks. Practices are held on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 4:30PM to 6:00PM. Practice locations vary, but consist of Al Patch Track, Lagoon Valley Park, Centennial Park, and Andrews Park.

You may register with the City of Vacaville online at: https://secure.rec1.com/CA/vacaville-ca/catalog. Search for "Thunderhawks" under "Youth Sports". You may also register in person at the Three Oaks or Ulatis Community Centers. 

A separate $25.00 registration is due and payable to the Solano Thunderhawks upon registering with the City of Vacaville at the Thunderhawks website: https://solanothunderhawks.sportngin.com/register/form/540406141.

Both registrations must be compete prior to the first day of practice.
